Clients differ but the intention is the same - to Connect.

STRATEGY AND COLLABORATION

The process is never completely the same, but the need to connect to a specific set of end users to solve a problem usually unifies all of the projects I'm involved with. Starting with an intake session, I'll run through the client's ideas with them, strategize with them, and come up with an initial set of requirements. This can be very in-depth or very high level to start depending on the needs of the project. These intake sessions, or strategy meetings, can be remote or in person. In person is always my personal favorite. To me, the whiteboard is a clean slate for any idea. If your strategy meetings generally turn into a smorgasbord of whiteboard collaboration and idea tossing then we are kindred souls.

WIREFRAMES AND PROTOTYPING

From there I'll usually take a week or so to put together some of my ideas for layout, flow, and feature sets. Visualization can make or break an idea. Transforming an initial strategy into a concept that the client adores takes thoughtful consideration, enchanting surprises, and effective preparation. I employ a myriad of techniques at this stage of the project that generally vary depending on the needs of the client. Anything from hand drawn to fully fleshed out wireframes, concept proofs, dynamic prototypes, fully functional and downloadable native prototypes - or all of the above.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND DELIVERY

Nothing makes me happier than efficiently delivering the best. Whether it's Slack, Basecamp, Skype, personal collaboration, or a well-formed list on paper - the process is as important to me as the result.
